Open Canoeing - Introducing
the Skills - 2 days
Learn open canoe skills with a fully qualified, experienced and insured canoe coach. We aim to focus on tandem paddling skills, however there is always the option to paddle solo.
Course Content
The course will be spent on local lakes and rivers. We intend to look at the following areas:
Basic boat handling skills for tandem and solo crews
- Introduction to solo boat handling skills
- Introduction to some of the basic safety and rescue principles specific to open canoeing
- Introduce you to some of the traditional skills
- A journey by canoe
The cost is £50 for one and £100 for a two day course.
